Overview

What is ISO 14001:2015?

ISO 14001:2015 is the international standard for environmental management systems. It helps an organization identify the environmental aspects of its activities, products and services, meet its compliance obligations, and set objectives to improve its environmental performance. It applies to organizations of any size and sector.

Who it is for in Saudi Arabia

ISO 14001 is relevant to industrial and manufacturing facilities, contractors and developers, logistics operators and any organization with significant energy, water, waste or emissions. It is increasingly requested in supply chains and tenders where environmental performance is assessed.

Our accreditation

TUV United Arabia is accredited by the Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) for ISO 14001:2015 certification, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1. SAAC is a signatory of the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA). Details are on our accreditation page.

How certification works

After your application and quotation, the Stage 1 audit reviews your environmental management system documentation, your evaluation of environmental aspects and compliance obligations, and your readiness. The Stage 2 audit evaluates implementation and effectiveness on site. The certificate is valid for three years with annual surveillance audits. See our certification process.

Preparing for your audit

As a certification body we do not provide consultancy. Our free ISO 14001 implementation guide covers the next edition of the standard, and the readiness checklist helps you check your system before the audit. ISO 14001 can be audited together with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
