Overview
What is ISO 22301:2019?
ISO 22301:2019 is the international standard for business continuity management systems. It helps an organization prepare for, respond to and recover from disruptive incidents, by understanding which activities are critical, setting recovery objectives and maintaining tested continuity plans.
Who it is for in Saudi Arabia
ISO 22301 is relevant to financial institutions, government entities and their suppliers, utilities and infrastructure operators, technology and data-centre providers, healthcare and logistics organizations, and any organization whose clients depend on uninterrupted service.
Our accreditation
TUV United Arabia is accredited by the Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) for ISO 22301:2019 certification, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1. SAAC is a signatory of the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA). See our accreditation page.
How certification works
After your application and quotation, the Stage 1 audit reviews your business continuity management system, including the business impact analysis, risk assessment and continuity strategies, and your readiness. The Stage 2 audit evaluates implementation, including how plans are exercised and tested. The certificate is valid for three years with annual surveillance audits. See our certification process.
Preparing for your audit
As a certification body we do not provide consultancy. Our free ISO 22301 implementation guide and readiness checklist explain the requirements. Business continuity often goes together with information security; see ISO/IEC 27001.
