Overview
What is ISO 9001:2015?
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management systems. It sets out what an organization must do to deliver products and services that consistently meet customer requirements and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and to improve customer satisfaction over time. The standard applies to any organization, of any size, in any sector.
Who it is for in Saudi Arabia
ISO 9001 is often the first certification Saudi organizations pursue: manufacturers and contractors qualifying for government and private-sector tenders, service providers working with large clients, and growing companies that need repeatable, documented processes. It is also the foundation for sector standards such as ISO 13485 for medical devices.
Our accreditation
TUV United Arabia is accredited by the Saudi Accreditation Center (SAAC) for ISO 9001:2015 certification, in accordance with ISO/IEC 17021-1. SAAC is a signatory of the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), which supports recognition of SAAC-accredited certificates by accreditation bodies worldwide. You can review our accreditation on our accreditation page.
How certification works
After your application and quotation, the certification audit is carried out in two stages. The Stage 1 audit reviews your documented management system and your readiness; the Stage 2 audit evaluates how the system is implemented and how effective it is. Following a positive certification decision, the certificate is valid for three years, with surveillance audits each year and a recertification audit before expiry. The full sequence is described on our certification process page.
Preparing for your audit
As a certification body we audit and certify; we do not provide consultancy. To understand the requirements before your audit, use our free ISO 9001:2015 implementation guide and the readiness checklist. Organizations planning a combined system can certify ISO 9001 together with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in an integrated audit.
